The sights and sounds of the BYU performers will again grace the stage in Nauvoo during the 2007 summer season. Making their first appearance in Nauvoo will be the Living Legends, joined by audience favorite – Ballroom Dance Company. Also appearing in Nauvoo is 2006 Champions of the International Championship of Collegiate a Capaella – Vocal Point.

The Living Legends, performing June 5 – 16, combines dynamic choreography of Native American choreographies with the color and vitality of the dances of Polynesian and Latin American Dances. Performed by talented descendants of these cultures and woven together by traditional and contemporary music, Living Legends’ program is a stunning tribute to the ancient cultures of the Americas and the Pacific.
The Ballroom Dance Company, performing June 19 – 30, combines championship formation dancing, breath-taking lifts and spins into a performance with a seemingly endless stream of shimmering costumes. The first Americans ever to win the prestigious British Formation Championships, a feat they have repeated an unprecedented ten times. The dancers have also competed in the World Formation Championships and have consistently earned top honors in the United States National Formation Championships. The Ballroom Dance Company has drawn audience applause with its variety of showcase of Latin and International dance styles, including waltz, samba, foxtrot, and hustle.

Vocal Point, performing August 7 – 18, reaches new heights in a cappella music. Vocal Point’s nine-man vocal firepower propels harmonies far beyond traditional four-part possibilities and combines rich vocal talent with clever arrangements and staging in an electrifying concert program. With inventive arrangements, humor, and remarkable vocal percussion, Vocal Point continually invigorates audiences and generates fans

Nauvoo Pageant
The Nauvoo Pageant celebrates the legacy of early Latter-day Saints whose faith brought them to a swampy bend of the Mississippi River, July 6 – August 3. Narrated by Parley P. Pratt, the pageant emphasizes the prophetic mission of Joseph Smith and honors the sacrifice, faith, and courage of the Saints who gave their all to build a city and a temple. The pageant is filled with authentic hymns and folksongs, lively dances, and tender moments that share the joy these early Saints found. Through words taken from journals, sermons, and historic records of the period, the pageant invites all to feel the powerful testimonies of these faithful Saints. Performances are Tuesday through Saturday nights at 8:45 p.m. Pre-show activities begin at 7:00 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.
