girlscoutGirl Scouts of South Cook County, Inc. is proud of our history of providing Girl Scout program in the south and southwest suburbs of Chicago since 1948. Forty-nine diverse communities make up our council of 10,000 members.

Our membership includes girls from 5 to 17 years old, and adult volunteers who serve as leaders and advisors, troop organizers, trainers and in many other support roles, on the board of directors and nominating committee, and on a variety of other committees and task groups.

With our emphasis on making Girl Scouting available to every girl, everywhere within our jurisdiction, we serve one in five girls from 5 to 14 years old in our area, and have a growing STUDIO 2B program that is based on the interests of girls from 11 to 17 years old.

In Girl Scouts, girls have a safe place to grow in COURAGE, CONFIDENCE and CHARACTER as they share new experiences, learn to relate to others, develop values, and contribute to society.
