We serve our community with integrity and pride; we are a responsible corporate citizen in our community; and we strive to consistently achieve outstanding financial performance. Waukegan Savings Bank was founded in 1924 in Waukegan, Illinois, a northern suburb of Chicago where it is still headquartered today. Though we may not be the biggest bank, you will notice the difference in our people, our attitude, and in our commitment to provide you with the best products and services for your personal or business needs. January 2008: Waukegan Savings Bank is pleased to announce it will begin teaching monthly financial literacy classes at the Boys and Girls Club of Lake County beginning January 16, 2008. WSB personal banker Jessica Ranchero will be conducting the classes at the Boys and Girls Club’s 450 Keller Avenue location in Waukegan from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. "We are very excited about the opportunity to begin teaching financial literacy classes at the Boys and Girls Club of Lake County," stated JT Primack, Director of Marketing and Sales for Waukegan Savings Bank. He went on to say, "The FDIC MoneySmartSM curriculum is built on assisting individuals of all ages with their money skills. Financial education fosters financial stability for individuals, families, and entire communities. The more people know about credit and banking services, the more likely they are to increase savings, buy homes, and improve their financial health and well being. With this in mind, Waukegan Savings Bank will continue taking a leadership role in Lake County promoting financial literacy."
